Cadeau Kennels & Cattery is staffed by experienced people who have spent years developing a system of caring for boarded pets, ensuring their comfort and minimizing kennel stress.
Secure layout
The kennel yard is laid out with only one entrance and exit, through the office, in order to exclude the possibility of any dogs getting out.
The perimeter of the kennel yard is marked by a six foot precast wall, topped with a foot of wire mesh. We have not had a dog escape since we went into business in 1980.
Exercise
Large dogs are out for exercise in a large yard with an opportunity to interact with the other dogs. if they are sociable. Otherwise in family groups. Small breeds are brought out for exercise in a smaller yard strongly fenced, and including shade trees.
Dog Training in Obedience and Protection is available, but is charged separately from boarding fees.
Rates In Season: Bookings are charged including admission and exit day.
Cats R145 per day
Small dogs: R155 per day
Large dogs: R180 per day

These fees may be slightly increased annually in October. This year we have kept the rates low.
Fighters and biters please stay at home.

Excellent facilities
The cattery pens are enclosed in brick and small mesh wire, under a steel roof to provide free circulaton of air. Click on the 'Gallery' heading and then on the Cattery picture for photos.

There are two blocks of dog kennels. One is for large breeds, and one block for small breeds.
The dog kennels are built of strong mesh wire on several courses of face brick walling, with shade cloth cover. The low walls ensure adequate ventilation and air movement during the summer time.
Every kennel has a brick sleeping quarter supplied with a board for dogs who want to snooze.
Bitches in season are housed in a separate row.
Experienced carers make sure your pet has a vacation as great as yours!

A variety of budgies and canaries find their way to Cadeau during the year. We admit them in their own cages, provided the cages are sturdy and secure.

Hamsters, rabbits, chickens, fish and tortoises also sometimes appear on the scene. We even had a couple of pot bellied pigs one holiday!
Arrangements for caring for such odds and ends are made on an individual basis.
