February - The only alterations to the committee are Jeannette Baller – Club Treasurer and Margaret Swart – Club Secretary. Halfway through the meeting we had some excitement with two lovely horses, which had escaped from a plot across the road. Once they had been caught and made secure in a fenced area on Nancy’s plot, we were able to continue with the meeting. They were collected on Monday by their very worried owners. FORTHCOMING EVENTS: - We will be holding a Breed Survey at the end of September. The Helper will be Jean-Luc Stapelberg, vice National Working Supervisor. It would be very beneficial for those people who will be doing this test at a later date to come and watch. The Centurion Breed Show will also take place at the end of September.
Prepare your dog for the Breed Survey with Jean-Luc. He will arrive in Gauteng on Saturday, and commence bite work sessions on Sunday. If you want to participate, please put your name down on the training roster with Maren. HELPER TRAINERS: - We are pleased to announce that two of our members Martin Lawrence and Brent Dreyer attended a 3-day seminar for the young dogs with Jon Luc Stapelberg from Cape Town. Well done, we need this kind of commitment and wish them many happy training hours. PUPPY CLASS for babies of 12 weeks are still being handled by Maren, and after that they proceed to Carol O'Leary, and then to the BH class. Whatever the age of your dog, bring it along and develop a bond and a great companion.
